After waiting it for quite a while, Chevrolet has finally decided to offer details on the production version Camaro Convertible. The new model will make its world debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show and will go on sale in February 2011 at a starting price of $30,000.
Like with the coupe version, Camaro Convertible will be offered with a choice of two engines: a 312-hp Direct Injection V6 engine for the standard version and a 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 426 hp for the SS version. A six-speed manual transmission will be standard, with an optional six-speed automatic.
Depending on the model, the Convertible Camaro will be offered with our-wheel disc brakes, StabiliTrak electronic stability control, Launch Control on SS models with the manual transmission optimizes hard-acceleration launches for quicker, more consistent performance and 18", 19" or 20" wheels.
